It's refreshing to see a world ending apocalypse movie immediately start with the object of annihilation already happening and there's nothing that anyone can do about it. I will tell you, this movie kinda starts off slow and gimmicky in a way, but once our two main leads meet, that's when it really starts picking up and it really feels like a great story of redemption. Also, I think Nathan Phillips as James was a perfect choice. The amount of range that he had with that character and just actually seeing his character progress in terms of behavior and demeanor, it was really insightful to see that on the screen.
Rating: mid-high 7/10
Ranking: #770/1,845
769 - The Man Who Knew Too Much (1934)
770 - These Final Hours (2013)
771 - Devotion (2022)
