After watching Tár for the first time recently, I decided to dive deeper into Todd Field’s filmography because I really loved it.
My overall impression of this one was very positive. The dilemma established here is the main thing that made the experience work for me, and, of course, the stunning acting. Still, at times it felt a bit too contemplative—full of long shots with corny fade-outs—and the ending bummed me out a little.
