This movie is great for many reasons, 

The cinematography and just overall camera work is insane in this film putting it in places and moving it in ways that feel other worldly and add to the insane over the top nature only added onto by the (perfectly) loud and abrasive music to fully lock you in if the camera work wasn’t enough. 

Also the way you get so up close and personal with whats going on (again a testament to the camera work) that creates what can only be described as immersive and visceral. 

Also a quick note that I feel was done on purpose is the contrast in setting at the end where instead of in closed rooms or in giant extravagant Opera rooms your placed out in nature surrounded by mountains in a bright vibrant open space that feels so distinctly different and sort of freeing for the eyes, have to figure there was a meaning behind that. All things considered, a great watch

A gorgeously vicious portrayal of fame, obsession, and voyeurism, Opera is truly such a riveting slasher. It’s disgustingly brutal, sadistic, and unapologetically mean-spirited, full of twists and turns, all complemented by Argento’s unique, psychedelic trademark style of filmmaking— some of the camerawork here is the stuff dreams are made of.

the way some of these shots are framed you can’t help but feel like a fly on the wall watching all this brutality take place
each one of the kills shown on screen are done masterfully in its gore and imagery

was not a fan of the tone and direction of characters during some scenes,
although personal preference, i would’ve like for it to take itself more seriously

had no idea what a raven sounded like going into this, im ok with never hearing one again
