Reygadas' ability to paint the patience, stillness, and immensity of nature is absolutely beautiful here. I would love to watch this in HD and it's a shame this is relegated to the dvd with no blu-ray anywhere, it seems. The inferior quality really obfuscates some of the prominent moments of non coincidence of tone, but the beauty is still there nonetheless and that's proof of true quality. This is a really wonderful example of visual poetry put to film.
