I am so happy I tracked this late Demy flick down. I watched it without subtitles, but my 12 years of French education filled in most of it. It’s pretty good! Lots of very apt comparisons with Rohmer in the few reviews that are on here. The dialogue and setting are very Rohmer. But there are lots of aspects that are undeniably Demy: the bright wallpaper, the way the camera moves, the focus on a central woman and her relationships (also - it's gorgeous!!!). I really wish I understood more of it, for obvious reasons. But, I did the best I could and am just grateful to have seen it!
