Man, need to take a breather after this one, jeez. Yeah this is a difficult one to watch, really pulls on the heartstrings. It’s one of those movies that’s so depressing it kind of leaves you in awe after it’s over. It’s really about an ordinary man doing all he can and using all his resources to save as many friends and family members he can in a literal massacre. The movie itself doesn’t have many flaws, Cheadle does a phenomenal job as the protagonist, the music is fitting and the set design was very good. They could have done a little more character development on some of the side characters like the workers, The cameraman and the generals, make some of their stories a little more known but I do see why it wasn’t necessary. I really didn’t see any glaring flaws with the movie besides the fact that the UN kind of sucks. I’d definitely recommend watching this one, I’m going to rewatch it for sure.
