It’s meh, in my opinion pretty long winded and there’s a whole lot of parts that don’t really need to be there, it has a very cool concept but I feel like the execution is lacking. The acting isn’t the greatest as well but that’s more on the script than the actors. It felt like a super cheap knockoff of fallout. Probably don’t need to rewatch it again but might on last time. Also you’re telling me Eli was blind the whole time and did all of that, aww hell naw.

I was surprised by The Book of Eli; it was very different to what I imagined after reading the plot overview. The film referenced the Bible a lot, but I appreciated the core message: powerful good can come from faith just as powerful evil can too. Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman were excellent in their respective roles and stood out to me the most, and the rest of the cast did good jobs too. The film dragged a bit at times, and I would've liked to see Eli in more fight scenes where you could see what was going on. I loved the visuals, costumes and sets, but the editing of the film made it look like an early 2000s R&B music video. The soundtrack was great and gave the film an epic feeling, and I liked the ending too; overall, The Book of Eli was definitely an interesting watch.

Jeg elsker hvordan filmen ser ut, jeg elsker det visuelle og bare den generelle estetikken, digger den grå/mørke fargen her og filmstilen. Action scene er solide. Denzel er veldig kul i denne rollen, elsker auraen han har. Jeg liker også hvordan han alltid holder på sin tro, det er inspirerende at han aldri gir opp. De andre karakterene er ingenting spesielt, helt ok. Den første delen av filmen er den beste, blir litt kjedelig midt i men slutten er bra.
