Of course, after watching Obsession, I had to watch Sharknado to balance my Letterboxd Curve, and what’s not to love about Sharknado?
The plot is what it says it is. There is a tornado, and flying sharks come with it. Are you not entertained? If not, there is definitely something wrong with you.
Unlike other bad films, Sharknado is deliberately bad. It’s aware of what it is. There are hilarious character deaths, continuity errors that make no sense, and a guy with a chainsaw cutting through giant flying sharks. Does it make sense? No, it doesn’t, just like how a death of a major character was just so quickly forgotten; you too must forget to turn on your brains to watch Sharknado.
