I was first introduced to Queen when I was 13 or 14 and their music at the time just felt so magical, my gateway through their music and lore being the opera part of bohemian rhapsody. The music is fucking great, all the band members are likeable, there is personality, it was just something fun to have a hyperfixation as.


Rock music owes so much to them, they were so ahead of their time and have pioneered and blended diverse genres. Freddie Mercury is the greatest performer ever, the charisma this guy had is fucking insane. Not just singling out him though because everyones energy here is so so so good. I loved Brian May's part towards the middle and that is when he felt the main character. I don't know what pact the crowd made with god but they are so lucky. Freddie Mercury could rock wearing nothing but a banyaan and we will never see it happen again.

Look, I'm pretty biased considering that Queen is one of my all-time favorite bands, but I honestly feel pretty confident in saying that this is EASILY one of the greatest concerts of all-time. And to all the people out there who stan last year's Bohemian Rhapsody relentlessly, just know that this iconic moment in Queen's legendary career wasn't even in the final film.

Whether you're a long-time fan of the band like myself, or if Bohemian Rhapsody was somehow your introduction to Queen's discography, this concert is a euphoric experience. Who would've guessed that Queen could come back to where they performed their iconic Live Aid performance just ONE YEAR EARLIER and perform an equally iconic concert once more.

Queen doesn't need a biopic when you can just watch this and their Live Aid performance back to back. No, I obviously don't consider this a movie, but I found it here on Letterboxd so you ABSOLUTELY can be sure I'm going to at least give it the recognition and praise that it deserves.
