An extremely mediocre Tarantino riff that tries to do the whole Pulp Fiction fragmented hyperlink cinema style that became so popular in this time period, but unlike some of the better entries in this subgenre — namely 2 Days in the Valley and Big Trouble — there isn't so much as an ounce of wit nor style in Chain of Fools that is required for these films to work. Despite that, the cast of thousands manages to keep this goofy caper's head just above water. No one's putting in their best work, but there's no bad apple in the bunch neither.
Will I remember any of it by tomorrow? Likely not. Did I hate myself while watching this? A little. Is it extremely bigoted in parts? Ooh yeah.
If there's one thing this film has taught me, it's that suicide brings everyone together. Maybe I should follow suit.
