Mike De Leon truly knows how to get into his characters' psyche and showcase it to a Filipino audience, and Itim is yet another unnerving watch by him.

I'm all in for western influences in Filipino cinema and I believe there is nothing wrong with that unless you make it as your own.

RIP Mike De Leon. His works truly are way ahead of its time.
