Decided to throw this absolute banger on during my trip to Florida. Tony Scott’s use of color and lighting in all of his works is truly special and it shines beautifully here. Love this cast so much. Don’t care if it’s damn near the same movie as Top Gun, a million dollars in gold and a million dollars in cash is still a million dollars. One of my favorites.

Unfortunately the film wasn't really packed with all that emotion or action. The characters stay very flat with a bigger story lying behind them. The dynamics are good just not nearly fleshed out enough. The love story is equally dull as in Top Gun just that here is no Take My Breath Away. Also, what's up with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman movies, that's like an awful lot isn't it.
