A extremely okay adaptation of my favorite video game
This is pretty much beat for beat the first 10 or so hours of persona 3. There is nothing offensively wrong with the adaptation but it isn’t trying to do anything new. The main character meets some characters earlier and it adds some characterization to specifically the main character, Junpei and Fuuka.
Junpei’s changes are just showing his insecurity little earlier in the story which I find helps.
The main character well gains a character since before he couldn’t talk and while I like the concept they went with he’s a bit bland so far.
Fuuka doesn’t change much herself but we gain much for information about her situation with her and her friends which helps massively to feel more engaged with her and her friend.
But over all improving some things, the changes are big enough to make this my preferred way to consume the story.
Still looking forward to watching the rest though
