Un director catalán hace una película del S.XVIII con Casanova y el mismísimo conde Drácula, se sentía una premisa tejida para mí. Y aunque me encanta ese Casanova que ya no es más que un eco de su antigua gloria, y Drácula! no puedo con el agotamiento de los sentidos y la lentitud de la muerte de Albert Serra. Solo puedo decir conceptually stunning! pero bájale los sonidos del campo joder MACHO! Que soy catalán y necesito subtítulos

This was my first Albert Serra and for the first two-thirds I was pretty fascinated. If I hadn't read the description beforehand, I wouldn't have known who this main character was. I think that helped me just a wee bit in digesting what was going on and I'm pretty sure it helped contextualize the end. I'm not sure if this is a Cassanova thing or a Serra thing, because I'm equally ignorant toward both, but there was A LOT of eating here. I'll be interested in seeing a few more Serra films because his construction is unique and his characterizations are amusingly absurd.
