this was insanely entertaining and also reminded me of SO MANY THINGS 1. weird science (1986) in some ways, these men falling over themselves trying to just get a glimpse of jewel again. her charm is irresistible and she literally had everyone on their knees2. true romance (1993) at the start and end 3. there's something about mary (1998) because of the humour and some plot bits4. why did matt dillon look like how he looked in drugstore cowboy (1989) he looked so good in this too i cant breathe AND the crimes literally felt like drugstore cowboy
anyways the manipulation was crazy and it was fun to watch unfold. i love the back and forth between the flashbacks and the present and the way this was shot. and michael douglas literally looks like emilio estevez.
the last 15 mins were a blast to watch and i laughed quite hard, this movie got me watching true romance and there's something about mary both at once and i am living for it, +0.5 for that ending im crying. it was so dramatic and unserious and so funny i loved it so much even if it was cliche. this is just so unserious and bad that its kind of good
