Director- Ram Gopal Varma. The film should have been called Bhiku Mhatre as he's the actual protagonist, a much better one too.The actor who played Satya was thoroughly outclassed and only played second fiddle to Manoj Bajpayee.Satya's introduction is quite interesting as we know nothing about him. Like where he came from, about his family, etc.The film never tells us anything about him except that he is a simp. He is an uninteresting one dimensional character as we can only know him through his current deeds and that he has none. Except asking or urging Bhiku Mhatre to do something. The songs in the first half like, "Goli maar bheje me" is awesome but the ones in the second half which are there to develop Satya's love story weren't interesting at all. That time could be used on Bhiku instead if not to develop Satya's character. The ending Bhiku got is much better too with being shot in the back of his head at the peak of his life. The film should have ended with that but instead it went on with Satya dying in the most comedic way possible. He died in such a randomass manner solely due to his cuck nature was the worst part of the film. His death only served to disgust us and cause even more trauma to the girl he loved and lied the whole time about his career to.Watching this film made me more appreciative of Gangs of Wasseypur part 1.Satya doesn't stand the test of time.
