6.3/10 big step down from the original trilogy. The opening scene was amazing as expected although it is my least favorite opening in the franchise up to this point. I do have a fair bit of critiques. i’m going to share before positives. I mean it is 2000s cgi but it still just didn’t work for me because I feel like Indiana Jones movies should be all practical for the most part. Also Shia LeBeouf’s character after they get kidnapped in Peru probably has at least 10 lines the rest of the movie. I feel like he wasn’t a factor after that other than the terrible cgi vine swinging scene. I am being nit picky but there was this small detail that just irked me a little. How did Ox not drop the crystal skull falling down a 50 foot waterfall into rapid water but he drops it when he falls around 10 feet down. Just stuff like that really annoyed me with this movie. Now for my positives. I mean it’s a Indiana Jones movie so their is going to be a lot of fun action that I love. The scorpions killing the Russian’s was awesome and the chase scenes in this movie ever though they were mostly cgi were incredibly entertaining to watch. I don’t know or think how to feel about a triple agent but it was a cool reveal in my opinion that Mac was a triple agent. Even through it really confused me after when Indy tries to help him like bro what are we doing. The movie until Indy gets kidnapped the in Peru was so amazing especially the whole brawl at the restaurant to the bike chase scene which ends in a library. Overall there are some redeeming qualities in this movie but the flaws really hold this back from being a good movie.
