Solidly enjoyable newspaper flick from LeRoy with fun performances from Paul Muni and Glenda Farrell. It's interesting to see Muni in a role that's far more traditional fast-talking reporter compared to his more character actor (often ethnic) roles. This one doesn't strike me as particularly pre-code despite being labeled as such, but still an entertaining enough time.
