Plays like a black comedy that depicts a social hierarchy barely held together by fragile masculinity. The other side of the film is this cheap cafe/motel prison it slowly builds around the two leads. It’s excruciatingly long, but like in a good way. 

This is some of the most psychologically challenging stuff I’ve come across. There’s probably a lot of important stuff about Korea’s new openness to foreign travel that went over my head, but oh well, this film slaps anyway.
