Committed to the destruction of autonomy as seen through Yoshie’s suffering. Hard to remember a movie that is so thoroughly satisfied dragging everything to hell with no chance of redemption. Even more incredible is how this is done while remaining visually PG.

what a devastating story. there were quite a few moments that struck a chord with me... i was a bit worried that this film might veer into exploitation territory or be too explicit for my liking but thankfully the subject matter was dealt with quite tastefully.
