Definetly not a complicated movie but the realism hits. I think if you've spent more than 5 seconds in dublin alone you've atleast seen an Adam and Paul but even outside of an Irish lense I think this movie really potrays the harshness of what addiction really does to people. I loved the characterisation throughout and in combination with the acting it never felt like the movie was trying to poke fun of the situation it was portraying but in saying that it definetly doesn't ask you to sympathise with Adam and Paul either. Ultimately I think that's what I admire about this film, it's not trying to pander a message or make you see something through a certain lense but instead is just portraying things as they are, leaving the interpretation of the whole thing up to the viewer.
