A group of young friends spending time at a remote cabin are pursued by a demonic force after a burial site is disturbed. Made on a small budget and starring Bruce Campbell and Ellen Sandweiss, the film was produced as a proof of concept to attract investors. Its ideas and sequences later formed the basis for Sam Raimi’s "The Evil Dead" (1981).

It’s really cool to be able to see this short film, especially with how similar it is to The Evil Dead in some parts! The quality is a bit naff but it honestly kinda adds to the charm this movie has

I must say the Evil Dead franchise is my favourite out of any horror franchise but its original short is well... low-budget. Seriously this was made on like $1000. Still respect for then becoming one of the most famous horror films ever and having some amazingly gruesome gore. Meh.
