#18. CAN YOU DIG IT?: Archeology turns up the darndest things…
“The Dreaming”, as is, seems pretty much a mid-to-low budget Australian Ozploitation thriller. It starts off interesting (an archeologist digs up an Aboriginal Grave Site and has premonitions of the past on how the Aboriginals were killed, then fast forward to the present where a modern day group of Aborigines try to take back the artifacts, but one girl gets mysteriously injured and dies, and the doctor treating her has mysterious and violent dreams about killer whalers and Aborigines). But what could have been an interesting take on how the sins of the past haunt the present, it kinda fizzles out of steam and becomes just a slasher (and a rather slow one at that) halfway through.
