My first 2023 movie, and why not start with a classic!!
Pirates Of The Caribbean, The Curse Of The Black Pearl is a great childhood film of mine and one that I had fond memories of, if not seen just why ??? 😂
Firstly I think the characters are the main benefit of this movie as they are just iconic from the brilliant , witty Jack Sparrow played by legend Johnny Depp to Barbossa played by the great Geoffrey Rush to Keira Knightley who is amazing in this movie and kind of a badass, well minus the dress scene.
Next benefit to this movie is the environments in which it s filmed. This movie is very immersive and makes you feel like you are a pirate in Jack s crew. It also has amazing scenery and amazing detail when on the water, and personally I think the CGI still holds up even 20 years on in 2023.
***I furthermore think that the story of this movie is very solid and intrigues throughout. It is also very surprising at parts and can catch you off guard.
*** Lastly I just wanna dedicate this last bit to the great Johnny Depp who brought this character to life and say thank you from every child old and young because what he brought to the screen alongside with everyone else involved in this movie is nothing short of perfection hence why it spanned 4 sequels which differ from great fun to questionable but nevertheless Thank you Johnny!!

I have so many fond memories of watching this and also playing the Lego game on my 3Ds. If Disney tried to make this now it would look like shit from a butt. The main score for this is incredible, has me wanting to become a pirate myself.

I viewed Will Turner as an extension of myself as a kid.
It’s so hard to watch this without thinking about what it blew up to become. This is a Disney classic at this point. Love this.
