There's a lot of this in Black Dynamite, that's for sure. I thought this was fairly fun, but not very tight. It's an earlier age of film, and it's a little bumpy, but Truck Turner is cool, the outfits are dope, and it's funny enough to keep me entertained. The leads are all great in this!

This may have set the bar too high for future blaxploitation watches. This was awesome. Isaac Hayes is magnificent and his score for the film is nothing short of spectacular. The car chase was incredible, as was the editing and cinematography.

Truck Turner tells the tale of the titular bounty hunter — an absolute truck of a man — living in '70s sunny L.A. with his jailbird wife. One day he gets entangled with a group of sleazy bloodthirsty pimps after he kills one in a bounty hunt gone awry, leading to much chaos and death all throughout the city, in this pulpy arthouse action flick that just loves to revel in all its blaxpoitation glory. Every time someone got blasted away by Turner's massive fucking gun, I kept singing to myself the incredible theme: "TRUCK TURNER!"
