A coming of age dramedy where infidelity, real estate, and Lyme disease have two families falling apart on Long Island in the early eighties. Scott, 15, is at the point in his life when he finds out that the most important people around him, his father, his mother, and his brother, are not exactly who he thought they were. They are flawed and they are human.

scott's relationship with his parents hit me maybe a bit too close to home
the movie itself kind of feels like watching your neighbors' lives from afar which works good for what it's about i think

WHAT THE HELL THAT WAS SO CUTEEE OMG
i love how calm the cinematography is theres not much movement which i like.
the scene where Scott and Adriana have sex is SOOO CUTEEEEEEEEE im actually gonna cry their so cute, and then them riding the bus together the next day omgggg my dream
I love how this film portrays Scotts emotions they show exactly why he feels this way and what that amounts too without overexplaining or anything it just feels like unspoken IDK how to explain but i really loved it + I like how we see Scott realizing and accepting that people in his life are lowkey bad and flawed and him and Adriana kinda bonding (even more) over that
love the cheating plotline, this sounds cheesy but that was genuinely the cherry on top
AND THE SOUNDTRACK IS SO GOOD
i love this film
you treat me different
because I like, liked you
