A very fascinating, fabricated look into the daily lives of the people of 1920s Berlin. The editing here is extremely good as well as the montages. Also worth watching for a glimpse of some of the locations that would be destroyed less than 20 years later.

A wonderful visual artefact, showing off the thriving city of Berlin in the mid-late 1920s. It’s fascinating to see how the world ran back then; it reminded me of Man With a Movie Camera, just a lot less stylised. It’s also so interesting to see a city like Berlin before World War II, before all of the chaos and destruction, it’s quite bittersweet really.

It’s definitely interesting to see what Pre-Nazi Germany looked like; especially for a history nut like myself. But besides that, it’s just a montage of silent footage of Berlin. Not necessarily something you need to go out of your way to check out, but definitely an interesting enough watch.
