The real documentary that inspired the motion picture. This one shows the Sardina Family, with their rough edges, their issues, their messiness but they feel more real. It's great to see that no matter what happened to Lightning and Thunder, they weathered them together. They had a dream in common, that they fought tooth and nail to make happen and they loved each other, that's more than any other person could ever ask for.
This one has a lovely moment in the end from one particular person/artist that surprised me the most from both movies. Seriously, life is stranger than fiction. And I'm still shocked just how they nailed the casting, because Kate Hudson does have the same smile as the real Thunder 😅
Also, You gotta love how Neil Diamond just brings people together ✨

Watching post Song Sung Blue (2025)
WAY sadder than the movie omg. They never got to Las Vegas, but immortalized in a movie’s pretty good too! They really nailed the characterization of these folks in the subsequent film, so resilient. I cried my fucking eyes out with Eddie Vedder’s letter at the end, so sweet
