This is a real headscratcher for me. I have no idea if I liked it- constantly teetering between the Nordstrom Rack equivalent of a Wes Anderson movie and an actually charming bleak & dry memento mori.

This would have been so great to watch on a big screen with a glass of wine rather than hunched over my lap top- but I’ll take it. Michelle Pfeiffer’s Frances feels like she could easily be a retired disenchanted Catwoman. An absolute delight 💕

63/100 Oh the relatable narrative of being a beautiful white woman who has never worked a day. living rent-free in her friend’s apartment in Paris, suicidal over the loss of all the wealth she married into and the loss of the cat she tried to strangle with her bare hands <3 The premise made the first two acts a little hard to watch but the third act pulled through alright. The best part of this movie was the champagne-orange juice ratio by the friend at brunch, you love to see 70% OJ 30 % champagne. Pour me a glass.
