I remember seeing ads for reruns of this film on Cartoon Network every now and then and then never being around during the times they aired. They were typically aired on Sunday afternoons, which during that time in my life were reserved for time spent with my parents and sister. The animation here is gorgeous (and so is the jerk boyfriend character of Rocky, to be honest - I totally understand why Connie would stay with him despite the clear red flags). While Rodney Dangerfield's antics are incredibly watered down, I can at the very least focus on the animation and art.
