What I love about this is that Victor is a main character who doesn’t speak (almost at all) but there’s a rEason for it. So many indies miss that nowadays with their silent-yet-not-motivated-silent characters. He’s so painfully shy and insecure it and hurt it only makes sense he can’t speak.
The last couple of scenes of the movie are also brilliant. Everyone has learned something, moved or or become more the person they want to be.
Fantastic debut by James Mangold.
