Arliss is just the worst. I remember watching a character played by this same actor in Pollyanna as a kid, and he was exactly the same - a whiny brat. Why is he spending his days abusing and tormenting animals, and his mother just lets him get away with it? I can't believe he was literally pulling a baby bear around! If that bear had mauled him, it would have been a lesson well learnt, I reckon. But yeah. Apart from Arliss, I liked this movie, and I cried when Old Yeller died.
