I wish they’d make more movies like this.

This is the closest thing to The Princess Bride we’ve gotten this century and I wish more people would follow in this vein of campy fairy tale movies. This movie is pretty bizarre but through Matthew Vaughn’s vision and some incredible performances, the heart of it comes through. Michelle Pfeiffer is especially exceptional, making me wish she’d pop up in more of these kinds of films.

All in all, effective, cute, and escapist in the best way possible.

This movie is really for the girlies ! 
You have to go past the fact that they clearly used all the budget on the actors and not on the fx (which is not smart for a fantastic movie) but it’s fun to watch, the characters are interesting, and this was my favorite Deniro character.
