my favorite book ever. but just reinforces how much i love books more than movies. that said: this is gorgeous. beautiful score. great performances. even child Jane is amazing.

jane is too nice. rochester is way too nice. still, i had a good time. very pretty, elegant, just a little too polite.
i’m giving this 4/5, which is probably exactly what i’d give if i hadn’t read the book first.
so, thank you for the very polished Hollywood adaptation. and also, Aldous Huxley… didn’t know you had romance in you after writing so much about soma
