Martin Scorsese filmography complete!!

Didn’t realize tonight was going to become a double feature with the debut of Spielberg (Duel) and of Scorsese, but hell, why not?

This movie is not bad at all. When it’s firing on all cylinders it’s a good watch. It does find plenty of time to drag though, and lose momentum. This isn’t great by any means but I didn’t hate it. 

If you were to take 100 lists from the internet of people ranking Marty’s work, this will be the most common pick for last place. I’ve now seen 16/26 of his films, and yes, this technically will rank last for now, and it may well end last because he’s got some famous work I’ve yet to see. But if THIS is your WORST movie, you’re a pretty goddamn good director.

Following up Who’s That Knocking at My Door, a film with a lot of ideas that weren’t executed to their fullest, comes Boxcar Bertha, a film with like 2 ideas that are most certainly executed to their fullest.

This is pretty entertaining at some points and boring as fuck others, still anticipating a great Scorsese film which I’m sure I won’t have to wait long for.

Carradine dans un Scorsese (!!!) mais Barbara vole le show

Je pense mon homme a abusé de la bonne clée (ou pas assez). C't'un Bonnie & Clyde sur des trains avec une scène de cul forcée au 10min. On sent les balbutiements de ce qui deviendra la patte de Monsieur mais c'est quand même mid overall, tough la fin est complètement shot gun!

Après l'avoir vu, John Casavetes est venu dire à Marty de lock in et d'arrêter de faire de la dump, que son potentiel vallait mieux que la crap du marché d'exploitation. That's a brother right there.
