This movie definitely would’ve been a solid four stars if it weren’t for the very sporadic and inconsistent timeline. At random points in the movie, there would be a time skip and it got confusing going from one timeline to another. As for the actual content of the movie, this was such an in depth discussion of heartbreak, family, loss, and grief. Not only did Orsa have to marry a man she never loved and be forced to stay in a loveless marriage, she was forced to watch Moscha get married to Spyros, a man that Orsa has loved secretly since she was 12. The journey between the two of them differs for years, Osra often being distant and unwilling when it came to conversations about the two, and they only truly reconcile after Spyros untimely death during a war. Osra finally reveals her undying love for the deceased man and struggles with Moscha until Moscha finds out that their mother, Mina, is the very reason why this downfall came about. The story is a great one that navigates all kinds of love and sadness, if it weren’t for the timeline, this movie would be next to perfect.
