I don't usually expect much from movies like this, so I'm always happy when they end up being worth it. That's exactly how I feel.
It's basically a simple home invasion/slasher, but for me, the tension comes from the fact that the main character is blind. Yeah, it's nothing new, but I think it's done really well here. I might also be particularly susceptible to this kind of thing because scenarios like this and blindness in general rank very high on my list of fears.
