The themes of this movie are very religious and thought provoking but they can be overshadowed by the raw imagery of the movie. I do believe it is worth watching even if you don't like this kind of movies as it was an inspiration for Silent Hill and many movies alike.

Did not see a single ladder throughout the entire film.

I think i prolly gotta rewatch this film to fully appreciate it cuz I was fighting to stay awake for like half the film. Not at all was this because the film was boring at all no I was just in the dark and extremely comfy. But yeah from what I did watch i really liked it, the special effects really surprised me as they were actually creepy asf and looked real too. I really do love films and shows that expose America and their drug experiments ever since I did my year 9 English speech on MK Ultra.
