Main character of this film uses the expression “I’m cooked” and I genuinely did not know that has existed for so long. Thought it was certainly a 21st century saying. As for the actual film, it’s fine I suppose. There’s one scene here that’s a true stroke of genius from Minelli (you’ll know it), and I’d venture to say that the entire section with the grandparents’ fight is quite good, but apart from that it’s pretty dull. After the good part, there’s one very funny gag involving a car, but there are a lot of morally questionable things here that are bothersome. Don’t like the way Liz Taylor just goes back into her husband’s arms after she leaves him under cheating suspicions. The whole last 10 minutes are weird as hell too, and totally off character for Stanley, who’s generally the chillest guy in the world. Huge step down from the last one.
