Upon a rewatch this timeless classic kind of isn’t as timeless anymore. The romance subplot really drags it down with a boring and honestly weak female lead. However that’s a product of its time for sure. Mahesh’s acting here catapulted him to stardom and I can see why. His eyes can bring an intensity that only puri jagganath and ssr can bring out. The direction as well makes this film as enjoyable as it is. The jagged and raw feeling throughout it all makes it a fun crime drama to watch. The final twist also makes it a great movie.
