The Point

This movie had some immaculate vibes. Fun music and animation (although very cheaply made). Characters seem like precursors of characters in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, or Rick and Morty.

I like how the theme of of movie is expressed literally with its concept. In a town where everything and everyone is pointy, a child is born with no point at all.

I didn’t like all the times we cut back to the father telling the story. Could have cut this quarter of the movie and it would be unequivocally better imo.

Another thing I don’t like is that every scene is followed by a scene explaining the scene prior. It assumes the audience is stupid and it really ruins the pace of the movie. So, this movie could be 25 minutes and be much better.

But my biggest problem is the ending.
The town of people change their mind on banishing Oblio without any character action. I would have expected the kid to convince the town that they’re wrong for discriminating by helping them in some way. But Oblio has no choice to make at the climax. He’s just accepted back and racism solved itself.

what the fuck kinda bed time story was that

me and my arrow (me and cocoelon)! Such a wonderful animated film, very nascent, very fetal, raw and sketched out. And yet, imbued a lot of emotions.I mean sure the fucking title and theentire premise can be a little bit corny, but its a kids show.  I felt a lot lighter after finishing it, like warmth sullied down on my chest, tears streaming down my eyes typa shit just screaming #hopecore. 

The animation was wonderful! the vibrant clash of the colors juxtaposed on the white background. Really sketched out and scanned from a makeshift flip through. Some character designs are odd and may be borderline grotesque but i guess it adds to the vibe.  Buttttt i think tye best part of it all is the soundtrack! Felt like a warm hug from the nostalgia it evokes ! Just want to lather on it till all points become pointless which is never!
