Starting off this review by saying all of the "haha this is bad porn" reviews irritate me as it is a clear misunderstanding of the film. Joe and many men like him only see sex as power, as a transaction of it and a gain on their part, it is never about their partner. It is about the selfishness of this type, how even when trying to correct their wrongs they never actually want to do it and will continue on this path of destruction.
Anyways, I do enjoy this film. It is shot nicely and the music is really done well, all of the actors in it work so fantastically that I can't see them as anything but characters. The pacing is also really well done, the latter third REALLY moving slowly as to give us a sense of how Joe feels is amazing and the flashbacks/time hops work in the film's favour really well.
Solid film, would recommend going into it blind to avoid the whole "haha porn!" Mindset people push about it.
