A very fun and interesting American giallo. This film has a plethora of titles, originally released as Communion, then its US release in the 80’s was released as Alice, Sweet Alice, and then was released later as Holy Terror. Whatever you want to call this film, it has that Italian horror sauce that I love. The acting isn’t the best, but its horror and kills are what make this film good. I don’t think it’s as bad to be considered “so bad, it’s good”, but it’s a decent low budget horror film that’s worth a watch because of how wacky it is.
One gripe I do have with this film is that for a whodunnit horror film like this, I was expecting a big surprise reveal at the end. But this reveal actually happens with like 30 minutes left. I wasn’t really a fan of how they did it, but what I will say is that the ending is pretty insane. Such a well-crafted scene with a beautiful final shot.
