great little British film. it’s a tough pill to swallow the premise as you know the Germans would’ve massacred everyone immediately, but it’s a well endeavored movie with few faults beyond that. Women hack with axes and shoot rounds. Children are threatened with execution and take bullets. The men sacrifice everything for their Merry England.

I probably would’ve rated it higher but it’s very reminiscent of Edge of Darkness which I enjoyed slightly more, but I love a good homeland defense story. What I would give for a good medieval siege movie.
