The beginning of the film felt very warm and charming, but after that the direction of the story changed with the question, “Are we with that person because we’re married, or because we choose to be with them every single day?”.. which is a beautiful question and a very important one for serious relationships, but I really didn’t like where the film went after the 40-minute mark because the woman not only showed very little respect for the relationship, but was also almost guilty of cheating, and the man was simply dragged along as if nothing had happened, but relationships don’t work that way, even if a separation is inevitable, there should still be certain boundaries of respect, which is probably why so many people didn’t like the film.. But I genuinely enjoyed it and would gladly watch it again whenever I feel like clearing my mind.. It’s Hitchcock’s only romantic comedy with no thriller elements, and he still manages to pull it off beautifully, this man’s bad films aren’t even bad, they’re all worth watching
