Andy Warhol described making Blue Movie as follows: "I'd always wanted to do a movie that was pure fucking, nothing else, the way Eat had been just eating and Sleep had been just sleeping. So in October '68 I shot a movie of Viva having sex with Louis Waldon. I called it just Fuck."
HELP??? ok i just skimmed through this, i get the vision. there is so much lore behind this like firstly this being the first erotica film to get a theatrical release in the US and also the fact that michelangelo antonioni was there? the wikipedia page for this is crazy i was really excited to know that i got all the references and knew the works of people involved too, and of course, the major impact this had. just a pity this was in german and had no subs so i couldn't understand it or else i think i would've at least sat through it for more dialogue. the version i watched was super sepia and not blue, i think they tried to colour correct it
also found this film while looking at references for the ti west x trilogy. geeking out and really happy that ti west and mia goth are super into bringing 70s + 80s adult film into mainstream and i'm so excited for maxxxine
