Why do they insist on Rob Corddry and Craig Robinson being forced to perform sexual acts on each other? This movie has one fatal flaw; The character of Lou Dorchen is entirely insufferable and I genuinely don't care if he dies. The entire plot just means nothing, it's all so boring and aimless. In the first film, the fact that they're pathetic jerks who wished to redo their lives added to the way the film plays out, particularly the monkey's paw-esque ending. In this one it's like jingling keys; 'Look, these guys are awful, look at the dumb stuff they do, laugh!' There's no lamentation on the nature of nostalgia and the inherent complacency that comes with idolizing the past. It's just another vulgar comedy with a time travel gimmick that really doesn't add anything.
