Him and Yelchin are just not an effective duo unfortunately. For a movie about losing a talented young boy, you'd think Yelchin's casting would hit harder but the character is so half baked. You know things aren't good once Selena Gomez shows up. Again, it really just plays out like low-rent John Carney. You're telling me William H Macy made a cringey movie? I'm shocked.
