I think this is a case of me being disappointed because I went in with certain expectations. As a massive Coen fan, the thing I appreciate about them the most is their writing of dialogue. I assumed this film would take inspiration from that, but there is much more silence in this film than not. Some great cinematography, but the lack of depth in plot left me unengaged.
Maybe it was just over my head, but certainly not for me.
