Technically brilliant and beautifully shot, but I didn't find it as charming as the movie wanted me to feel. Timothy Spall is impressive, but the film stays at a bit of a distance.

A brilliant final act, and arguably Pope’s best shot (although it’s frustrating that it took this movie to get the Academy to recognize him), but could use some cutting. Would be an incredible 1:45.
